How We Operate
The New Orleans SPCA, a non-profit corporation for the prevention of cruelty to animals, is committed to making New Orleans more humane for all animals. We are not contracted for the intake of stray or lost animals in the City. Animals admitted to our shelter are mainly from cruelty and neglect cases although we occassionally take in an animal hit by a car or that was "in trouble" at the time we were contacted.

You should also contact the Louisiana SPCA at (504) 368-5191 to inquire about animals similar to yours that may have been impounded under their contract with the City.
